Apple Makes OS X Lion and Mount Lion Free to Download
Apple recently dropped the $19.99 fee for Bone 10 King of beasts and Mountain Lion, making the older Mac updates free to download, reports Macworld .
Apple has kept Bone X 10.7 Lion and Bone X 10.8 Mountain King of beasts available for customers who accept machines limited to the older software, merely until recently, Apple was charging $19.99 to get download codes for the updates.
As of terminal week, these updates no longer require a fee, and tin be downloaded from the Os X Lion and Bone Ten Mountain Lion back up documents on Apple'south website.

Macs that shipped with Mac Bone X Mavericks or after are not compatible with the installer, however.
The $19.99 fee dates dorsum to when Apple used to accuse for Mac updates. Apple began making Mac updates free with the launch of Bone Ten 10.nine Mavericks, which also marked the shift from big cat names to California landmark names.
